The new version of Laser Imaging Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) technology works with a small oscillating mirror prism reflecting vertically a laser beam that can be used in several application: car system environment recognition, robot guidance, assistance to disabled people, etc. The purpose of this video is to illustrate the new LIDAR version applications.

The French Alternative Energies and Atomic EnergyCommission (CEA) is a key player in research,development and innovation. Working on LIDAR technology they asked SolidAnim for a promotional short film projected in 280° using Unity. We were in charge of visual effects, shaders, lighting,integration, timing, transitions, and real-time enginerequirements.
